Walmart receipts have the most prominent feature: The purchased products’ names and serial numbers. Prices with discounts are also included. You will find the receipt number at the bottom of the receipt. A, B, P, R, & S represent sales tax compliance. N, X & O signify the tax status. You can now move on to the more obvious numbers. The 12-digit serial number is listed in the middle section of each receipt. It’s unique to each purchase.

Paying with a debit or credit card will show ‘U.S. Credit/Debit’ depending on the usage, followed by the 4-digits from your card.
The purpose of this information is to allow you and the cashier to clearly identify the card used in an event where you request a return. On the same line you will see the number given by the merchant as the receipt reference (REF).
The abbreviation for ‘Approved’ means that the bank has approved the transaction. You might see an AID code if your chip card was used. This is to help you address the card application.
Further down will be the ‘TC#’ number that is used to generate the transaction codes.
The C# number, which is unique to the receipt, is also printed. Below the barcode you will see the purchase date and time.
Walmart lists each item purchased in a particular transaction. They often shorten the product names by using abbreviations. For example, “Org” can be translated to organic.
An item can also be identified by the unique serial number listed in the middle of the receipt. High-value goods such as radios, televisions, tablets, phones, and consoles usually imprint the serial code onto the device.
Use the Walmart.com search engine to locate the item’s alphabetical title and detail.
Alternativly you could scan the QR Code on your receipt through the Walmart + App. Each item on your receipt should be photographed.

Walmart will help to recover your receipts by searching them online. This will require you to provide the postal code or address of where the purchase was made and also the date it was received.

Associate may print Walmart receipts if it’s right after the original one. To create a duplicate receipt, however, associates can print Walmart receipts again if it is printed within one hour of the first.
Select the location that printed the receipt, and then choose the date. Select the card type you want (debit for all debit cards) and enter the last 4digits. Confirm the Captcha by entering your receipt amount. Then, click ‘Lookup receipt!’
